Many people assume that I got into the wealth management business because of my father, Tom, who has served as a teacher and mentor to me since I was born. While this is partially true, it was not the only factor that attracted me to the industry. After a short stint in the insurance industry, I quickly realized that I’m not a good salesman and transitioned my focus to public accounting where I spent most of my early career. A couple of years later I was ready to make a move and now have the pleasure of working with individuals, families and small businesses who trust us to manage their financial future. Looking back, I’m fortunate to have such broad experience which I believe is a key to connecting with the network of complementing professionals that are often a part of a comprehensive advisory team.
When I joined my father’s firm in 2011, I soon learned how special it is serve as a financial head coach and have continued to develop the firm into a holistic financial planning practice. Being more than just an ‘investment guy’ means that we are involved in all facets of your life and it is our privilege to help you create memories that last a lifetime. I’m passionate about this business and have since become a second-generation owner of the firm. This means I have a vested interest in working with you and your family for years to come.
I made the biggest (and best) decision in my personal life in 2015 when I married my wife Jill, who has the impossible task of trying to slow me down from time-to-time. She has been nurse at Yale New Haven Hospital for over a decade and is one of the hardest working and most passionate people I know. We are both blessed with an amazing network of family and friends that dominate most of our social calendar, a problem I am happy to have. Since we met, Jill and I have been avid travelers and are fortunate enough to have visited some of the most exciting and exotic places on earth. Picking a favorite is tough, although both of us have a special place in our heart for all the beauty, food and wine that Italy has to offer.
Our lives changed forever in September of 2018 when we welcomed our first child, Kyle Thomas Morrone, into our family. He has brought a joy to our lives that we never knew existed before, and I look forward to sharing more about him as he continues to grow.
In my spare time, I like to spend weekends driving just about anything with a motor on the road, autocross or track. It’s also not uncommon to see me on the golf course, where I continue fight the endless battle against my handicap and always seem to come up short. On those rainy or snowy weekends I enjoy catching up on some of my favorite sports, including golf, Formula 1, UCONN Huskies Basketball and, of course, New York Giants football.
