Referrer Referee Dinner Party
By Paul Morrone, CFP ®, CPA, MSA
Whenever I overhear someone talking about their financial advisor, 9 times out of 10 I hear the phrase ‘my guy…’ followed by a statement about something that ‘guy’ did recently. While I don’t normally sit there and eavesdrop over an entire conversation, I think it is a good thing that people are talking about their relationship with their advisor. In our business, our clients are our biggest advocates and they are often the reason that we are able to keep growing our businesses. Knowing that people talk about us when we’re not around is definitely a good thing.
In 2016 we started a tradition which we intend to continue in order to recognize those who have introduced new people to our family over the past year. This year’s ‘thank you’ dinner was held at J. Christians in Wallingford, which never disappoints with a good meal. As our family continues to grow, it’s amazing to watch new relationships develop and old acquaintances reconnect at our events. There are so many common networks, whether it’s through past employment, hobbies or their childhood neighborhood, it always seems that the room is as loud as a dysfunctional family party that often takes a clink of the glass to quiet down.
To everyone that is a part of our family, please accept a humble ‘thank you’ from our team for trusting us to be your ‘guys’ (and gal) here in North Haven.
