As we approach the first day of spring, it is a perfect time to reflect on the past winter and look forward to the warmer days ahead. This winter was an unusual one, with many of us experiencing a lack of snow and cold temperatures. Despite this, I am sure we can all agree that we are ready for the arrival of spring and all that comes with it. From the blooming of flowers to the return of outdoor activities and sports, the changing of the seasons is something that we can all appreciate. Baseball season is on its horizon, and I am looking forward to spending many warm days at the ballpark watching games.

The start of a new season is always exciting, and this year is no different. We are just days away from the official first day of spring. The days are getting longer, the sun is shining brighter, and the temperatures are slowly but surely beginning to rise. It's time to bid farewell to the cold and dreary winter months and embrace the beauty of spring. I am sure we can all look forward to the birds chirping, the flowers blooming, and the trees starting to fill in with fresh green leaves. And don't forget that Daylight Saving Time begins in just a few days!

This winter was particularly different from most others that I can recall. Typically, we expect quite a bit of snow and cold weather during the winter season, but this year we had much less of both. In fact, there were many days where it was warm enough to wear shorts outside and even walk around in the sun. This was especially strange in a place where people are used to bundling up with heavy coats and scarves.

In addition to having very mild weather, we had far fewer days where it snowed compared to other winters. Most years, I can remember having snow days or at least a few snowy days every week during the winter months. This year, however, there were only a handful of days that it actually snowed. All in all, this winter was certainly an interesting one and definitely different from what I'm used to.

As spring approaches, I am looking forward to the start of baseball season. After a winter unlike many others, with barely any snow, it will be wonderful to watch America's favorite pastime. I'm looking forward to the sights and smells that come with a day at the ballpark. Peanuts and hot dogs are always a must-have when watching a game, and I cannot wait to buy my ticket and take a seat in the stands.

With the start of the season comes optimism and hope that this year could be "the one." Every team starts with a clean slate and a chance to go all the way. There is something special about sitting in the stands and feeling the energy of the crowd when the home team does something amazing. Baseball games can be full of excitement and surprises, making for an unforgettable experience.

This year should be much different too, with many rule changes, to my dismay. However, I am open-minded and trust the MLB is making the right decision with hopes to grow the game as they speed up the game. While I can rant on this for much longer than you’d like to read – CLICK HERE for a great article explaining the history and why these changes are being put into effect in 2023.

My passion for baseball wouldn't be diminished by this, baseball season is always something I look forward to. With the start of spring just around the corner, it won't be long before I'm sitting in the stands watching the game I love.
