Whenever I overhear someone talking about their financial advisor, 9 times out of 10 I hear the phrase ‘my guy…’ followed by a statement about something that ‘guy’ did recently. While I don’t normally sit there and eavesdrop over an entire conversation, I think it is a good thing that people are talking about their relationship with their advisor. In our business, our clients are our biggest advocates and they are often the reason that we are able to keep growing our businesses. Knowing that people talk about us when we’re not around is definitely a good thing.
