You Spoke, We Listened

As many of our longstanding clients are aware, we have a history of holding a variety of different events each year, ranging from our annual shredding event to virtual education events, with some ‘fun’ stuff sprinkled in between. Much of our ability to provide in-person events was stripped from us over the past two years, and it is time to right the ship and get it back on course. With COVID concerns largely in the rear-view mirror (hopefully permanently), coupled with the wide adoption of technology/virtual events, we are working on a robust schedule for the rest of 2022 and beyond. I want to thank the many people who responded to our recent survey about educational event topics and wanted to personally let you know that we heard you. We’re proud to be able to offer a number of upcoming events which we’ve tailored specifically to address what you want to hear about. All you need to do is sign up!
For those that were wondering or that may have missed our survey on educational topics, the results were as follows, shown in order of most requested to least:
• 51% - Market/Economic Outlook
• 49% - Social Security
• 43% - Cyber Security
• 34% - Medicare
• 29% - Long Term Care/Title XIX
As such, we are planning the following events in response to your feedback and hope that you can join us as we take a deep dive into these interesting and timely topics.
• May 25th: Market/Economic Outlook (virtual event)
• June 22nd: Social Security – Your questions answered (virtual event)
• July 20th: Trends in the Collector and Classic Car markets Presented by Hagerty (virtual event)
• TBD October: Medicare Open Enrollment FAQ (virtual event)
If a topic you requested isn’t on the calendar just yet, it will be in the future as we plan to hold an event over each of these topics as they were all selected by multiple individuals who responded.
… And that’s just the educational stuff we’ll be tackling over the next year.
On a personal note, I’m most excited to formally announce that US Wealth Management New Haven will be the presenting sponsor for the 2022 Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance (CTBTA) charity golf tournament. In addition, my wife, Jill, and I have offered to chair the golf tournament committee and are working to organize the event along other volunteers who are donating their time an energy to plan this new event. The CTBTA supports a cause near and dear to the hearts of all of us in the Morrone household. For those who may be unaware, Jill lost her mother to a very aggressive form of brain cancer in 2009, which was coincidently the same type of cancer my uncle Mike also fell victim to in 2008. This is in addition to the many other family and friends that we know who directly or indirectly suffered a loss or hardship due to brain tumors, and the unfortunate many who will encounter these challenges in the future. There will be many more details to follow on this, but for those who enjoy playing golf, we look forward to seeing you at New Haven Country Club on September 26th!
We are also looking forward to opening up our parking lot for happy hour. While it may sound strange at first, those who have enjoyed North Haven’s “Music Under the Stars” Tuesday summer concert series will appreciate preferred parking and a cold drink before enjoying some of the state’s best cover bands who perform right here on the North Haven Town green. We’ve picked a few of our favorites throughout the summer and hope you can come by prior to the concert on select dates for our “Happy Hour Under the Stars.”
Most importantly, we want to stress that many of the events we plan to hold – both fun and educational – are open to anyone who would like to join. We encourage you to sign up and pass along the invitation to anyone who you think may enjoy the content we’re speaking about or a night out of the house. The more, the merrier.
You will notice an up-to-date list of upcoming events, along with registration/attendance information, in each of our weekly newsletters. We encourage to tune in to learn, join us for some fun, or hopefully a bit of both, as we progress through the rest of the year. In case you were wondering and wanted to mark your calendar, we hope to see you at one or all of these entertaining events.
